AB Crepes

How I heard of this place: Catching up with friends for a late(ish)-night dessert snack, I was directed to AB Crepes, and may have to make a trip back in the near future.

Type of cuisine: Crepes, sweet and savory for all taste buds!

Ambiance: A simple, no frills establishment, perfect for university students  heading down the hill for settling a midnight craving. Order at the counter upon entry,

take your seat directly ahead at one of the barstools set against raised tables, or at one of the wooden tables around the warm dining area.

Enjoy your crepe while looking at the artwork, checking your phone for messages, or enjoying an intimate evening out with a special someone in a casual setting.

What I ordered: For my friends, who introduced me to AB Crepes, a Straw-bana ($7.09) with fresh strawberries, sliced banana and Nutella.

For me, the Dulce de Leche ($7.09) with caramel, chocolate chips, sea salt and topped with a touch of whipped cream.

For the youngest in the crowd, the table favorite, Apple Pie ($7.36) with house-roasted apples, topped with ABC’auce graham crackers and cinnamon drizzle.

What I loved: Surprisingly, the Apple Pie crepe was the most abundant, hearty and tasty concoction at our table. A novel and unique option for the sweet tooth craving when you also want to have a full meal!

Why I loved it: Simple, unpretentious, and tasty. The fact that they are open into the wee hours of the morning make for a perfect spot to meet up after a show, a concert, or just when you feel the need to satisfy your sweet tooth.

Cost: Average ($7 – $8 per crepe)
