How I heard of this place: We were in search of a spot for lunch with our good friends and Alexandria proved to be the most convenient location between train and airport, maximizing our time together. Seagar

Type of cuisine: American. Simple.

Ambiance: Set inside the Hilton Alexandria in Old Town, Seagar’s is a typical hotel restaurant with corporate decor and seating, uninspired and palatable.

From the dining area,

to the kitchen,

the bar,

to the service, the quality was simple and lacked memorable quality.

What I ordered: Three orders were placed for the Tasty Burger ($13) with cheddar cheese and apple wood bacon, served with a side of waffle fries.

One order for the more creative Grilled Cheese Sandwich ($12) stuffed with American cheese, ham and asparagus.

What I loved: The burger was juicy and filling. The fries salty and satisfying.

Why I loved it: Since moving out west, we long for our monthly dinner-catch-ups with our Arlingtonian friends. This quiet location was perfect for conversation, laughter and catching up over a meal.

Cost: Low to average ($7 – $14 per meal)
