Matin de Paris

How I heard of this place: Upon stuffing ourselves silly at OeGadGib, somehow we were still in the mood to partake of more, and found our way across the street to Cafe Le Matin de Paris, at the suggestion of our dining companions.

Type of cuisine: Welcome to Le Matin de Paris – your friendly neighborhood Korean bakery and café with a French inspired twist.

Open for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and late night, our quaint and cozy café is filled with tasteful décor for your eyes and even tastier temptations for your palate.

Le Matin de Paris pastry chefs have been delighting customers in the greater Annandale area for more than 10 years. Our Korean and French inspired menu includes a unique variety of sweet and savory baked goods, cakes, pastries, soups, sandwiches, salads and more. Every item is authentically prepared and artfully presented, much to the pleasure of our patrons.

What I ordered: In our party of seven, we had one cup of black, brewed coffee, one solo espresso and two orders of ice cream: vanilla, and coffee & vanilla ($4.99 for any – available – two flavors).

What I loved: The coffee ice cream. Too bad it was already too late to truly enjoy the caffeinated taste-bud adventure!

Why I loved it: The space is quiet and cozy, a simple and slightly amusing take on a French Bakery…Korean style. Not to mention, the free samples of freshly baked pastries! Yum!

Cost: Average ($3 – $5 per individual sized treat)
