(jetcitypizza.com) – Wedgwood
How I heard of this place: I first learned of Jet City Pizza when I moved in to the Wedgwood neighborhood for a brief stint of time. It wasn’t until today, while helping Jessica, a new friend pack up her apartment that I had the opportunity to check it out.
Type of cuisine: Gourmet pizza for take-out.
Ambiance: This establishment is not meant for enjoying the hot pizzas on-site. Instead, one can pick up or have a fresh, hot pizza delivered.
What I ordered: While initially, we were looking to enjoy something simple, when we heard the daily special, none of us could refuse. The NW Garlic Gourmet! Topped with pesto sauce, artichoke hearts, garlic, sun-dried tomatoes, feta cheese and black olives, this delicious combination of flavors was served on Jet City’s micro beer batter crust (as I have now come to find out).
What I loved: The pesto sauce added punch to the salty feta and olives, combined with the pungent sun-dried tomatoes and full-flavor of the artichoke hearts.
Why I loved it: It was quick, easy, and ready when we needed it!
Cost: Average to high (normally $19.99 for a large gourmet pizza, the special offered us this treat for $16.99)
