(No website found at time of publishing) – North Seattle, Washington
How I heard of this place: Despite having driven by it a number of times in the past decade, it never quite grabbed my attention. This visit was special, recommended by a friend and North Seattle dweller who was set to indulge her out of town guests/friends’ donut request.
Type of cuisine: Donuts and ice cream (Baskin Robbins).
Ambiance: Simple, unpretentious, reminiscent of the 1980s.
What I ordered: We ordered a dozen donuts ($12.99) including Boston Creme, Sugar Raised, Manager’s Special: Powdered Chocolate Cake, Chocolate, Toasted Coconut, Buttermilk, Powdered, Old Fashioned, Honey Dipped, and Lemon.
What I loved: Powdered Chocolate Cake. Simple and true to its name.
Why I loved it: Soft and light, one can easily enjoy – or at least sample – more than one!
Cost: Average to high ($0.99 – $1.29 per donut)
