(No website currently available) – Edmonds
How I heard of this place: Through the Entertainment book while searching for places in Edmonds to have lunch or a small snack and coffee.
Type of cuisine: Soups, sandwiches, quiche, pastries, coffee and other beverages.
Ambiance: Large interior with ample seating, including four individual, leather sofas for a more relaxed experience. A bar is located towards the back in a nook-like space. Open with a home-town feel. Yellow walls and brown furniture. The space is clean and looks new or newly remodeled. The staff were friendly and happy to see us.
What I ordered: My friend and I shared the Very Berry Salad ($7.50): mixed greens with chicken, blackberries, raspberries, walnuts, Monterey Jack cheese, raspberry vinaigrette and a roll with butter. We also shared Kristi’s BBQ Chicken Panini (($7.50): sliced, grilled chicken, BBQ ranch and havarti on ciabatta, grilled.
What I loved: I loved the fresh berries the most. They tasted as if they were just picked off the bush in the backyard. The panini was nicely grilled with plenty of cheese! The BBQ ranch sauce was not overwhelming in the sandwich. The service was very friendly and quick.
Why I loved it: The space felt very comfortable and an easy place to spend a couple of hours on an afternoon while reading a book, studying, or enjoying a bite to eat with friends. The food was good enough to come back for, but not a place I would go out of my way to enjoy again.
Cost: Average ($7 for a panini or salad)
